What it all came down to was exactly the same what I've been working towards these last few years:
Being positive!
"Lucky" people are looking forward, thinking positive, knowing something will come along. This attitude opens them up for OPPORTUNITIES which come along. They SEE opportunities when they pass and they grasp them. They don't wait for something to come along, but they SEE when something DOES.
"Unlucky" people only see the negative things which pass; they linger on these negative things. Thus NEVER noticing the OPPORTUNITIES.
What people don't seem to realise is that negative experiences can be so positive. How can one appreciate the warmth if they have never been in the cold?
People who have been through hard times appreciate things much more once they see the good things which are coming their way.
Being at pit bottom, helps you look around and teaches you to haul yourself out of it. Only YOU can do it. People can help and throw ropes at you, but as long as you do not SEE that rope, you'll remain stuck.
During a research, they've noticed what "lucky" people had in common as what the "unlucky" ones.
