Do we really have to wait untill Christmas before we start doing something ? Why is it that it's during that particular period that people start thinking about others ? Shouldn't we do this all year round ?
The other day, I was walking down the street and I noticed a homeless person. Well, at least someone who was sitting there. Whether or not he's really homeless, I don't know, but I felt like I had to give something. So I did.
I did not give because it's the time of the year of giving, but simply because I felt I HAD to give. Regardless of whether this person was homeless or not.
When giving, we should not give because it's this time of the year, or because others tell us to. When giving, it should come from within ourselves. Because we WANT to give.
To be honest, I'd rather DO something to really help them, organise something so they can eventually help themselves. That's more than just giving.
Anyways, my point is, don't give because it's the time, but giving should come straight from within yourself.
