Don't be defeated, be happy... 04/22/2011
People can get upset for small things, not having their tea or coffee on time, their dinner not being warm enough, missing the metro, bus, tram, when there is one every 10 o 15 minutes... Most of those times, things are not so urgent, so why get upset? Besides, how does that help you? It does help you raise your blood pressure. There are very ill short tempered people and upon closer look, they are the ones who feel uncomfortable in their own skin. Have you ever met a happy person, genuinely happy who so easily gets upset? The answer will be no. Why? These people have accepted themselves, they accept things do happen. Accepting the fact something happens does not mean one accepts defeat. Quite contrary, the mere fact of acknowledging this, leads the way to finding a solution. Just as with addicts, once they acknowledge the fact they’re an addict, they can start their way of rebuilding their lives. Acceptance of things can also help you understand things, for with an open mind, you think more clearly.
